Super Bowl Party

Join us as we watch the last two teams remaining in the NFL compete to become Super Bowl champions. Comfy couches, action-packed football, and humorous commercials will be provided. There is a struggle for the identity of the church. In our neighborhoods of Chicago, the concept of church is vastly misunderstood, often resented, and commonly an institution to be avoided. A familiar example of this is how often folks outside of the church decry the difference between the person, teaching, and works of JESUS CHRIST and the way that churches today operate. Gandhi famously said, “I like your CHRIST, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Sadly, many of our friends and neighbors would agree with Gandhi’s sentiment.

Clearly something is off.

The core identity, mission and focus of the church need to be re-calibrated. But by whom?

Join the MissioDei family as we seek to return to the SOURCE of our identity, mission, and focus as a church, JESUS. Revelation 2 & 3 contains seven prophetic letters from JESUS HIMSELF, written to seven churches throughout Asia Minor addressing their character and actions as HIS bride. Discover with us our identity as we learn from JESUS what is commendable and what is worthy of judgment as we strive to become a church aligned with HIS heart and honoring to HIM.
