MARCH 25, 2013 - UPDATE
Over the past year we have seen GOD work in and through this campaign in ways that we never could have imagined. Since the campaign began nearly a year ago, we have personally met with 189 individuals / families. 117 individuals /families pledged $1,987,486 to purchase the building at 1242 W. Addison and to continue planting congregations throughout the city of Chicago. We continue to meet with more individuals and still have $1,762,514 to go to meet the goal of $3,750,000. If you are interested in learning more about what GOD has already accomplished and how you can become a part of this campaign, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll arrange a time to meet with you. As a reminder, pledge payments can be made by cash, check, online giving and securities.
The Campaign Steering Committee will be looking into financing options for the building purchase and working through the building inspection process. The current owner was looking into making aesthetic and functional upgrades to the building before we purchased; however, he and the leadership team at MissioDei decided to not move forward with these changes due to the substantial cost and feeling these resources could be used in other Kingdom ways. The current plan is to take ownership of the building within the next year.
We have been overwhelmed and humbled by GOD’s blessings. We are excited to see how the story continues to unfold as we seek to share the Gospel throughout Chicago, neighborhood by neighborhood.
We would also like to take this chance to thank a few people who worked behind the scenes to help make all of this happen. It was and is a great pleasure to be able to serve beside each and every one of them. Thank you Robby Schwindt, Jerry and Kathryn Tack, Ronnie and Danny LoCash, Michael Forsberg, Erin Noel, Jen Leet, Nate Frank, Joe Davis, Andy Pillman, Millie Minton, Katie and Blake Hanson, Eric Staples, Megan Lenz, Jason Pucker, Chris White and Joshua Taylor.

JUNE 27 - UPDATE
Just six weeks since officially launching the Missio Dei Stewardship campaign, we are thrilled to share a quick progress report of where we stand as we catapult into the next chapter of our church’s narrative.
As you are aware, this Stewardship Campaign is built upon three key components; securing funds to; purchase the building at 1242 W Addison, prepare for future church plants, and lastly, aid in the building maintenance at 1242 W Addison.
Our goal for this campaign is not about dollars and cents. What we are primarily striving for, is to make personal visits to every person who calls Missio Dei home, and share with them the history and vision of what GOD has called us into; at a deeper level. That is how we, as a campaign steering committee, are measuring “success”. By having a conversation with each and every one of you.
That being said, our goal is to visit 277 homes. As of 6/25 we have completed 81 visits, with more on the way. That’s 29.2 % of our goal! Incredible conversations have taken place over coffee, tea, and even whiskey, as we share what’s happening in our church. Hearts are being stirred, and many of you have jumped on board. It’s beautiful. From a pledge stand point, we’ve arrived at $1,472,700, which is 39.3% of our goal. Smashing.
So that’s where we stand. Seeing folks sacrifice for a greater good. Family by family, household by household. As we continue to see God work in lives, we are looking forward to sharing with you more exciting updates, and celebrating God’s continual provision.
MAY 6 - UPDATE
Here's a recap of important details from Sunday's Mullet Meeting—the official kickoff for MissioDei's Capital Campaign.
We began by worshipping through music and testimonies from our body. We'd love for you to listen to this directly here.
Sunday's event marked the end of the first of three phases in the campaign. In phase one, a very specific group of people were approached to pledge to the campaign, while many others were being trained to lead the campaign's different teams. The meeting demonstrated what an amazing group of people we have from all three MD campuses leading and serving on teams. The goal of phases two and three is for every person who considers MissioDei home to meet with someone involved in the Capital Campaign.
This leads us to the first major announcement...
$1,200,000 HAS BEEN PLEDGED TO THE CAMPAIGN.
This sacrificial giving has been humbling for everyone involved.
Andre Radandt from the Charlesvoix Foundation, the organization that currently owns the building, announced that the foundation will be RENOVATING THE BUILDING IN ORDER TO BLESS US AND TO FURTHER THE WORK THAT GOD IS DOING THROUGH MISSIODEI. This renovation includes plans to modernize the building while maintaining the beauty of its existing aesthetic. The goal of the project is to increase the functional capacity of the building while improving accessibility. The timetable and designs are still in progress, but we can say with full certainty that 1242 W Addison St will be setup to succeed in becoming the hub for 10 new gatherings in 10 years, as well as, an engaging community center seeking to love the Wrigleyville neighborhood.
GOD's faithfulness and provision are evident and humbling. Let us seek HIS will and direction together as we join HIM as HE makes all things new.
- The Campaign Steering Committee
"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.’ - Jude v24-25
Over the last four weeks we have participated in a readiness assessment process to determine whether or not we as a family would enter into a full fledged capital campaign. The heart of the campaign is to raise funds to pursue the dream that GOD has given us. This includes:
• A capital fund of $1 million to form new Gospel Communities/Gatherings and spread the Kingdom of God in every neighborhood of Chicago.
• To purchase our Addison St. building at a cost of $2.55 million to stabilize our presence in this city & neighborhood for many years to come.
• Build an adequate capital improvement and maintenance fund of $200K to adequately provide for our ministry needs.
We are excited to report that a great number of our community have overwhelmingly spoken in support of the campaign to provide for the three items above. As we have prayed and discerned the Spirit, we confidently sense that GOD is leading us to begin this campaign. The capital campaign will be a faith journey for our family. We are excited to see how the LORD will reveal HIMSELF to us as we boldly step forward.
